Our Services Our services offer a continuum of care and consumers can move up and down in service intensity as dictated by their current needs. All services are person centered, focused on our consumers' needs, strengths, and wishes. Services take a team approach and include any supportive friends or family members that the consumer wants to involve in their treatment. Carolina Center for Counseling serves pediatric, adolescent, and adult consumers. Sessions are available in various formats including individual, family, group, or seminar sessions, whichever suits your needs. Basic Services Just for You... Individual Therapy Begin with yourself. Learn new skills and perspectives to bring fresh insight into your problems and your life. Sessions are available in various formats. You'll see results in a very short time. For Your Marriage... Marital Counseling For most of us marriage is one of the most difficult and challenging relationships that we will ever experience. Your marriage can be a foundation of strength and satisfaction when you learn to make it work. For Your Family... Family Therapy We believe that family plays one of the most important and influential roles in most people's lives. Our family-focused approach produces long-term results by helping individuals and their families resolve problems together as a unit. Families will learn new ways to enhance their relationships and reduce conflict through effective communication, positive parenting practices, and the use of discipline and monitoring. For Your Children... Child Counseling We have extensive experience working with children with the most difficult backgrounds and pervasive problems including sexual abuse, physical trauma, behavioral and emotional handicaps, anger control issues, opposition/defiance and depression. Our counseling will help your children develop new social skills, improve their self-esteem, and reduce the frequency of problem behaviors. Medicaid Enhanced Benefit Services Diagnostic Assessment A comprehensive evaluation by a licensed clinician, and reviewed by our medical staff, to assess a consumers needs, desires, and support network. The diagnostic assessment is the basis for the development of the Person Centered Plan. This plan focuses on the strengths and needs of the consumer and identifies how services and supports can be used to help them reach their desired goals. Community Support These services are provided by qualified professionals in combination with associate professionals as necessary to directly assist the consumer in meeting their needs in the community. Services are provided as preferred in the home, the school setting, or any other location in the community. Community support helps link the consumer with any additional services, ensure that these services meet the consumers needs, and work to support and advocate for the consumer in the community or with other local agencies. These services also work directly with consumer to help promote healthy changes in all life domains as driven by the Person Centered Plan. Community Support Team This is similar in scope as Community Support, but is provided in a team approach and is usually of greater intensity. Community Support Team is designed to assist those consumers who's needs exceed other services and assist in stabilizing the consumer's current life situation.
